Thrive HD 1‑8×24 LPVO by ZeroTech — A Hands-On Take from Woody Outdoors

📌 First Impressions

I mounted the ZeroTech Thrive HD 1‑8×24 on my Wedgetail Industries MPR Mini and dove right into testing. Straight away, this optic stood out — the clarity and field of view are seriously impressive. It feels like something designed for serious shooters who need both situational awareness and precision.

Wide Field of View Is a Game-Changer

One of the biggest highlights for me is the 124.8 ft (41.6 m) field of view at 1×. On the range that translates to a massive visual real estate that makes spotting targets fast and intuitive. Even at 8× magnification, you're still looking at about 15.3 ft (4.7 m) FOV — ideal for mid-range engagements. This optic really keeps everything in frame.

Build Quality & Eye Relief

Built out of 7075‑T6 aluminum, the Thrive HD feels rugged without being bulky. It's fully waterproof, fog‑proof, and shock‑proof, ticking all the durability boxes I want in the field. Eye relief measured around 3.5–4 inches (91–100 mm), which is comfortable across the full power range.

Reticle & Illumination

I opted for the PHR4 illuminated reticle during my install — it strikes a great balance between quick point‑and‑shoot usability and precision. The illumination was crisp and the various brightness settings ensured visibility in changing light. ZeroTech also offers a simpler G4 reticle if you prefer minimal clutter.

Real‑World Performance

On the range, transitioning from 1× to 8× was smooth and fast, making follow‑up shots feel more fluid. The glass held up well — sharp edges, minimal distortion — and zero stayed locked even after rounds of movement and manipulation. This optic really delivers when pushed.

Verdict

In my hands-on experience, the Thrive HD 1‑8×24 LPVO delivers a killer blend of optical clarity, wide field of view, and rugged construction — all for a sweet spot price of $699AUD. For hunting or tactical use, this scope is a standout performer.

It fits right in the sweet spot: fast enough for close up work, precise enough for medium-range, built tough enough for rugged setups. Whether you're tracking targets through brush or dialing in steel at 300 yards, ZeroTech’s Thrive HD brings confidence and consistency to your setup.

Bottom Line:

The ZeroTech Thrive HD 1‑8×24 is an optic that punches above its price point. If you’re in the market for a versatile, tough LPVO that performs from 1× through medium ranges — this one deserves a hard look.
